Meet Our Board
Executive Board

Justin Harnish - President
Vice PresidentI am a third generation Oregonian and Lake Oswego resident. I was raised on the Lake and am proud to be raising my own family here. After graduating from the University of San Diego, I eventually made my way back home and became an owner/partner in Harnish Properties, specializing in Lake Oswego residential real estate. Passionate about our Lake and community, I have served on the Lake Oswego Schools Foundation Board for the past 4 years. I have enjoyed the past few months as an interim appointment and look forward to continuing my service to the community.

Doug Woodcock - Vice President
Vice PresidentDoug and Charlotte raised their family in the same house on Lake Oswego for the past 25 years. The original appeal of living on the lake, watersports, the natural beauty of the lake and the community of lake residents holds as much appeal for the Woodcock family now as it in 1993. As a long-time resident and avid lake user, I understand the critical importance of issues like water quality, boater safety and access. I am a passionate advocate for the lake and would be thrilled at the opportunity to serve on the LOC Board of Directors.

Amy Gaddis - Secretary
SecretaryMy husband Byron and I moved onto the lake in 2014 – we’d never been on it in 19 years of living in Lake Oswego. We enjoy cruising in our “classic” wood Chris Craft, exploring on our paddleboards, and swimming off our dock. With my background in chemistry, and engineering, I’m very interested in the overall lake ecosystem and am impressed with the water quality work that is being done. I would like the opportunity to be involved in future lake projects that maintain and improve water quality and the quality of life on the lake.

Rick Johnson - Treasurer
TreasurerOur family has lived in Lake Oswego since 1994, and we enjoyed the Lake Grove swim park until we moved to the Lake in 2007. We have 3 boys who have grown up in this community, with the youngest a senior in high school. As an Interim Board Member the last few months, I have been struck by how much work is involved in keeping the Lake in the condition that we enjoy, but so easily take for granted. I hope to work with other Board members and the LOC staff to preserve the quality of life we all value. With a degree in Geology, an MBA in Finance, and having started a company, I will be an effective Board member.

Grant Hanson
Director at LargeMy family and I are active users of the lake - boating, paddle boarding and kayaking several days a week. As lakefront residents, we witness the daily caretaking of the lake by the Lake Corp staff - the responsive and courteous Lake Patrol, the conscientious water quality maintenance team and the friendly crew at the Lake Corp office. The Lake Corp Board and professional staff are charged with maintaining and improving our lake while protecting its value and quality for shareholders and easement members alike. These are responsibilities about which I feel strongly. I am confident that my expertise in strategic planning, problem solving and budgetary oversight developed over my 35+ years at Nike will be an asset to the board. I look forward to working with other community members to continue the tradition of effective and committed oversight of our lake.

John Medak
Director at LargeI was born and raised in Lake Oswego. After attending USD and starting my career as a commercial real estate broker in San Francisico, I moved back to LO where I met my wife and served on the Board of Mt. Park HOA. My wife, Kristie and our two daughters enjoy the lake in all its capacity. I am an avid, year round skier and wakeboarder. I have assisted with the Lake Corp Ski & Wakeboard Extravaganza for the last 5 years. It is one of my favorite days on the lake. I look forward to serving the members and keeping our unique lake just that...unique. It’s like being on vacation only in your own backyard.
Stuart Smith
Director at LargeMy family and I have been fortunate to call Oswego Lake home since 2004. I would be honored to apply my legal and financial background to enhancing the lake experience for all of us as a member of the LOC Board.
